Boston police, firefighters, and Emergency Medical Services responded late Friday night to Fenway Park for a report of a woman who fell down an elevator shaft, police said. The woman was seriously hurt, the Associated Press reported Saturday morning. Boston Fire Department spokesman Steve MacDonald said the accident occurred when the elevator shaft doors on the fourth floor opened unexpectedly. The woman fell into the shaft and landed on the roof of the elevator, he said. She was found on top of the elevator on the second floor at Gate B, MacDonald said. The call at 24 Yawkey Way came in at 11:16 p.m. It was unclear if one or both of the elevator’s doors opened.
