Suspected Boko Haram gunmen kidnap eight girls in north east Nigeria

Suspected Boko Haram gunmen have kidnapped eight girls between the age of 12 and 15 from a village in the north east of the country.

Witnesses claim they were loaded onto military trucks and driven away with stolen livestock.

The Islamist group is still holding more than 200 teenagers taken from a school in Chibok on April 14.

Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau posted a boastful video message where he claimed his militia had kidnapped the girls and he was going to sell them.
