Cocaine Found in Britain’s Water Supply

Cocaine has been found in Britain’s water supply as The Drinking Water Inspectorate (DWI) discovered tiny quantities of benzoylecgonine, the metabolised form of cocaine, at four sites in Britain. It is worth noting that benzoylecgonine is also an ingredient in a popular muscle-rub making it hard to know where the substance in the water originated from. We look at the ensuing investigation and how this contamination is impacting the safety of Britain’s drinking water, in this Lip News clip with Elliot Hill and Gabriel Mizrahi.
